Candera was so nice and I thank her for sending me out the products to review.

Below are the products that I was sent:

More Moisture Cream

from Previously named Más Humedad which is Spanish for “More Moisture”…we decided to drop the spanish but the ingredients/formula.

This product has been formulated to aid in styling and can be used as a leave-in conditioner. Providing a high level of moisture and nourishment for your hair as well as definition, sheen and strengthening properties. Great to solve issues with dryness and works well on thick/coarse hair and this is a heavier cream.

Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (Conditioning Emulsifier) Aloe Vera Extract, Raw Shea Butter, Cupuacu Butter, Rosehip Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Vitamin E, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate (food grade preservative) and Essential Oil Blend for Fragrance

Best to use on damp hair followed by one of our hair butters as a sealant or your favorite hair oil. A little goes a long way.

Does not contain any Parabens, Silicones, Mineral Oil or Sulfates

My Review:

This was amazing!! I used it as a leave in as well as to prep my hair for my marley twist install. It left my hair soft and manageable. I barley had to detangle! Seems like my comb went straight through!! That almost never happens!!

Brahmi Root Hair Masque :

From Deep treatment that includes ayurvedic herbs to aid in strengthening, conditioning, and moisturizing. Repairs, restores and promotes healthy hair growth. Makes hair soft and easier to manage. Also detangles hair for easier styling even after rinsing.

Ingredients: Distilled Water and infused with Brahmi, Burdock Root, Marshmallow Root, Yucca Root, Slippery Elm and Horsetail, Aloe Vera Juice, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Avocado Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Castor Oil, Raw Honey, Guar Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Pro Vitamin B5, Hydrolized Wheat Protein, Essential Oil Blend for Fragrance.

Apply to freshly washed, damp hair for about 30 – 45 minutes with a shower cap alone or under a hair steamer. Rinse with cool water and style as desired.

My Review: Best deep conditioner that I have tried so far! Wow… This left my hair so moisturized. It really felt like my hair was restored and easy to manage. I left it in overnight! My hair felt amazing! This is a must try!!

Rhassoul & Bentonite Clay Detoxifying Shampoo Bar

My Review:

I was not a fan of shampoo bars until I tried this one! Man!!! My hair was really jacked up due to an overload of product. But this shampoo bar really cleansed my hair and scalp. My hair wasn’t stripped at all! Ladies this is a must try product!!! Below is a pic of my hair after it was washed with the shampoo bar:

Ladies do me a favor and go checkout L.A.C.E. Naturals!!

Naturalista’s Business Corner NHDC – Natural Hair Don’t Care: Carsa

Natural Hair Dont Care!!

Tell me a little bit about yourself and your company. Share some of your natural hair journey.
Where is your company based? My company is based out of Chicago, IL.
How did you come up with the concept for company? I started my apparel line 2 years ago. I was inspired by my daughter who was born that same year. I wanted her to grow up loving herself just the way she was created and I wanted to be her best example of embracing the “natural” me. So I came up with the idea to create an apparel line to celebrate my natural hair loud and proud. I designed this line for women that want to make a statement about their natural hair without saying a word. I also wanted to be sure not to alienate women who choose not to wear their hair in its natural state, but rather to celebrate those who do. My tees are created to express the pride I have in my hair-itage and the joy I feel in sharing that pride with others in our community. All of my items are designed with the fashionable girl in mind. I understand that natural girls are fashionable too.
The name Natural Hair Don’t Care Tees LLC derived from the term “long hair don’t care” which was coined by Lil Wayne, the rapper. Natural hair don’t care simply means to have the audacity to wear your hair in its natural state.
What distinguishes your company from other companies like yours, whether large retail-chain or small? My designs speak bold simplicity with a play on pop culture. They are clean, edgy, and thought provoking yet playful at the same time.
What is your favorite product that you can’t live without? I actually don’t have a favorite product. I consider myself to be somewhat of a lazy natural lol. Whenever I’m doing my hair, I reach for the first product I see in my cabinet. My hair loves coconut oil though!
What is your most popular selling product? The black/gold “All Natural Everything” tee is our best seller. It sells out so fast I can barely keep it in stock. The Signature t-shirt is also a customer fave.
Are there any new products or accessories on the horizon for your company? Yes, I’ll be adding new t-shirt designs, sweatshirts, and beanies to my line as part of the winter collection.

Are you or your products making any appearances at anymeetups, or natural hair events anytime soon? I just  exhibited my line at the 3rd Annual Holiday Beauty Bazaar on December 7th at Kroc Community Center from 12p-4p.
Any transitioning or natural hair advice you’d like to leave with the readers? 1. Be patient with your hair. 2. Enjoy EVERY step of your hair journey. 3. It’s okay to like or even admire someone else’s hair but be your own hair crush. 4. If you love [on] your hair, I promise it’ll love you back.
Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for someone wanting to start their own company? Be clear on why you want to start a business, do your research, create a simple business plan, determine/know your target customer, and network network network! Most importantly, do what you love and love what you do.
Where can we find you on social media? You can follow us on Instagram and Twitter at @NHDCTees for updates on the brand, sales announcements, and to view pictures of our featured customers.
